How did you turn into the Minister put on a suit? Shall we have the Irish Minister sat here? Well, the Irish Minister actually put a portrait in the back. Thank you, yes. Yeah, tell me where I should stand. Where is the front? Please stand here. Where is he? How are you? Thank you. Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, Distinguished Colleagues, I would like to read out the joint statement. On behalf of Ukraine, Albania, Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Republic of Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the European Union, today we mark the three years since the beginning of Russia’s illegal and unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine. We reiterate our resolute condemnation of this flagrant violation of international law. In a fluid geopolitical environment, it is a strong signal that the UN membership made an appeal for peace in Ukraine today. The General Assembly has demanded an early end to this war of aggression and a just, lasting and comprehensive peace in Ukraine in line with the UN Charter. It also reiterated the urgent need to end the war this year and to redouble our diplomatic efforts to achieve such peace. It is profoundly important that the UN General Assembly reaffirmed its clear support for international law and the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity enshrined in the UN Charter. I want to stress that any peace that risks rewarding aggression increases the risk for any country, wherever in the world, to face similar aggression. It creates a dangerous precedent for the future, undermining the principles of international law and the sovereignty of all nations. We deplore Russia’s failure to implement the UN General Assembly’s resolution adopted at the 11th Emergency Special Session. We reiterate our demand to Russia to stop the war of aggression against Ukraine and to ensure the full, immediate and unconditional withdrawal of all Russian forces and military equipment from the territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders. We also demand a cessation of hostilities by Russia against Ukraine, in particular of any attacks against civilians and civilian objects. We will continue working on ensuring accountability for serious crimes under international law committed on the territory of Ukraine as part of Russia’s aggression. We reiterate that the International Court of Justice Order of March 2022 obliges Russia to immediately suspend its military operation on the territory of Ukraine. We reaffirm our unwavering support for Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, extending to its territorial waters. Thank you. Madam Minister, how would you characterize Ukraine’s relationship with Washington now following the actions that happened this morning? We have a really good working relationship. Thank you. Ambassador, you were just told that President Zelensky is going to be at the White House in the next few days, President Trump just said that, to sign the Minerals Agreement. Can you talk more about it? You will be informed in the due course. I think I support your project of the resolution. What’s your action? We have just adopted our resolution, which is based on the UN Charter and contains very important provisions. Aggression, the condemnation of Russia’s aggression, accountability for the Russian crimes, and the principles of territorial integrity enshrined in the UN Charter, and the way to the comprehensive, just and lasting peace for Ukraine. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
